CITIZENGLOBAL, INC. PRIVACY POLICY Welcome web site visitors and content creators! We are CitizenGlobal Inc., located in Venice, California USA. This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect at www.citizenglobal.com (the “Site”) and how we use it. • How you accept this Policy: By visiting the Site, by registering as a content provider, or by otherwise providing us with personally identifiable information (such as by leaving a comment with an email address), you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. • Information we collect that is not personally-identifiable: We collect information that is not personally identifiable (meaning, anonymous information) regarding use of the Site, such as login information, computer-related information (browser type you used, your Internet Protocol address, last URL visited, and the date and time of day of your login). We send a “cookie” or “pixel tag” to your computer which contains an identification number that is unique to the computer you are using. You may decline to provide such information to us and/or refuse cookies in your browser, although some of our features or services may not function properly as a result, and some services may not be available. § We use this anonymous information to enhance the visitor experience at the Site, to understand how our Site is used, to communicate with our visitors about information and services relating to the Site, to investigate and verify proper conduct at the Site, and to monitor the security and integrity of the Site. Internally, we use data in the aggregate to analyze our business. • What we collect about you that is personally identifiable: We collect personal information (“PI”) that you choose to provide to us while registering for an account or using the Site (such as your first and last name, email address, password, gender, date of birth, mailing address, phone number, URL, work history, education, account information for Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and other indentifying information). All passwords are stored on our server in encrypted form. If you lose your password, we will generate a new one and send it to you. If you provide us with account information for third party websites/sources other than the Site (such as Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn), we may obtain information from those sites, but such information will only used by us in accordance with the privacy policies and terms of those sites. • How we use and disclose PI § We use PI to email you or to otherwise contact you electronically about activities relating to the Site and our business, including advertising and promotion. You can opt out of receiving future promotional and advertising related emails and electronic communications by following the unsubscribe link in any such emails. § We use PI to understand the usage trends and to operate and maintain the Site. § We may disclose PI as required by law and/or in response to service of legal process, such as a court order, summons, subpoena, and the like. § If you sign up as a contributor of content to our Site, we may disclose PI with those clients to whom you contribute content after you have authorized such disclosure. Those clients have agreed to provide at least the same level of privacy protection for your PI as required by this Privacy Policy unless you agree to grant them broader rights to use and disclose your PI pursuant to their privacy policies. § We use PI to investigate and verify proper conduct at the Site and to monitor the security and integrity of the Site. § We may share PI with trusted partners who provide services related to the Site (such as web site hosting, maintenance, security, data analysis, bulk communications, surveys, etc.) and have signed agreements with CG and agree to treat shared PI with at least the same level of privacy protection as set forth in this Privacy Policy. These trusted partners do not have the right to use this PI for their direct marketing purposes. § We do not sell your PI to third parties. § We may disclose aggregate, non-individually identifiable information or automatically collected information with interested third parties to assist those parties in understanding the usage and demographic patterns for content or functionality on the Site. § If you contribute content to the Site, your User ID, along with any content you submit to the Site and/or any information you submit for this purpose will be made public. Any PI that you choose to display on any publicly available portion of the Site may also be collected and used by others without restriction. § Information about our users, including PI, may be disclosed and/or transferred as part of any merger, acquisition, change of control, debt financing, insolvency, bankruptcy or sale of CG’s assets. • How you can access or change the PI that we have collected: Once you have registered with us by accepting the Terms of Use you can access your account, review the information that is stored, and revise or delete that information. You will need to email us a written request to delete your entire account. Please note, though, that any PI that you include in your contributed content or in the metadata thereof cannot be revised or deleted, although if you contact us at privacy@citizenglobal.com, we will undertake reasonable measures to remove such content from public viewing. • Children: Anyone under the age of eighteen (18) must have a parent or legal guardian set up an account with CG and agree to CG’s Terms of Use. CG does not target, market to, or knowingly collect information from children under the age of thirteen (13) years. • Referrals: We use and treat information our users provide about their friends or family for referral purposes in the same way we use and treat information about users who register directly with CG. • Links to other websites: We may provide links to third party websites. We are not responsible for the content or information collection practices of those sites, including their privacy policies. Please review the privacy policies of such sites. • Data Security: CG uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your PI. We cannot, however, ensure the security of any information you transmit to CG, and you do so at your own risk. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing or by emailing us at privacy@citizenglobal.com. • International Visitors: This Site is hosted in the United States. If you are an international visitor, you should note that by providing your PI, you are: (i) permitting the transfer of your PI to the United States which may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you reside; and (ii) permitting the use of your PI in accordance with this Privacy Policy. • CG participates in the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor program and complies with the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor program developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Union and adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of Notice, Choice, Onward Transfer, Security, Data Integrity, Access and Enforcement with respect to personal data transferred to the United States from the organizations in the European Union who are collecting personal data as part of CG's services. • Changes to this policy: If we make any significant changes to this policy, we will notify you by email, or post a notice of such changes on the Site, or flag our Privacy Policy on the Site as updated. • Effective date: This Privacy Policy is effective August 22, 2011. • Contact: Please contact us with any questions and/or comments you may have.
