Locals in Uttara held an event at Masjid Park, Road 1, Sector 7, Uttara, Dhaka on 12th December 2009 from 7pm - 8pm. We were joined by caring individuals from the society, school children and families. We took the opportunity to educate the community about Climate Change, its hazards, its consequences, its solution on a personal level and the demands we need to place upon our leaders inorder to save our future. The turnout was more than we had anticipated - almost 90-100. But it was worth it, to know that so many cared, and that we had been given the opportunity to teach the rest. We held presentations, video shows, candle-light vigils, handprinting onto the banner (in the color of blood to represent our support and pain) and all in all a really fun event for all ages
