SUBMITTING YOUR MEDIA TO PROJECTS

At CitizenGlobal, submitting your media directly to major media projects, including commercials, reality shows, news and music videos, is made simple. With CG, your content can receive global attention and, even better, you can even be rewarded for providing it.

CitizenGlobal provides cutting-edge tools allowing you to submit to projects and set prices on all your media. The following is CG's step-by-step tutorial for submitting media to projects:

STEP 1: Opening the Submit Window
  1. The SUBMIT pop-up window allows you to place your media directly into projects.
  2. You can find SUBMIT buttons to access this pop-up window in many places on the site such as your "My Media" page, studio pages, project pages, folder pages and footage call pages.
STEP 2: Selecting Your Media
  1. On the left side of the SUBMIT window, you'll find the media you've personally uploaded; select any one that you want to submit. If you've gotten to this pop-up from any of the SUBMIT buttons on your "My Media" page, the media will load automatically.
STEP 3: Browsing Studios, Projects and Folders
  1. On the right side of the SUBMIT window, you'll see a list of studios, projects and folders. You can browse in and out of any of these various CG areas entirely at your leisure.
STEP 4: Drag and Drop Media into Folders
  1. When you find a folder within a project pertaining to your media, you can first decide to CLIP your media by making a small selection from that file specific to what the folder is seeking. Please read the CLIPPER guide below.
  2. To SUBMIT, just drag and drop your media by selecting the media icon and dragging it into a folder.
STEP 5: Accepting Agreement
  1. Once you've dropped your file into a project folder, you'll be presented with that project's media agreement. You must agree to these terms before your media can officially be submitted. If you do not agree, click CANCEL.
STEP 6: Setting a Price
  1. After the project agreement, you'll be presented with that project's custom pricing arrangement. There are several custom project arrangements, so be sure you're aware of any project's settings before submitting. Certain projects are designated as "free media only," meaning that you will not be paid. These projects are usually all about community, getting a message out or to empower a non-profit organization. Other projects will allow you to set a price according to that project's specific price guidelines. In this case, you must enter a price that is equal to or below the project's set maximum. Unfortunately, this price cannot be changed later and your media cannot be removed after it's been submitted in any edits for the project. And remember, you are paid for your media only if it's used in a finished edit by a project editor. If your media does not get purchased, you will not be paid.
STEP 7: Submitting
  1. So long as you've entered a price acceptable by that particular project's pricing guidelines, just click SUBMIT. You'll soon receive confirmation that the transfer is complete.
STEP 8: Continue Submitting
  1. You can now open new media files or explore more studios, projects and folders. And remember, you can submit to as many as you want...

STEP 2: Clipping Video, Audio and Image Files
  1. The clipper will play your video, audio and image files and allow you to make specific selections of each to submit:
  2. Video and Audio: You can mark specific IN and OUT points, drag your IN and OUT points or use the FRAME-BY-FRAME forward and backward buttons to make a specific selection. Once your IN point (marking the beginning of the clip) and OUT point (marking the ending of the clip) have been chosen, please press CLIP to generate a new media file of this clip.
  3. Image: Since an image is one frame in which you don't need to set IN or OUT points, you can instead use the buttons to zoom in and out on the image or move it left or right or up or down to only submit specific parts of an image. When your zooming and movement is set, please press CLIP to generate a new media file of this image.
