Vikram Singh

Vikramaditya Singh is an award-winning filmmaker based in New Delhi, India.

Over the past decade, his work from South Asia has been featured extensively in international news organisations like the New York Times, The Washington Post, Al Jazeera and France24 and for cultural organisations Serendipity Arts Festival and Magnetic Fields Festival. His main areas of focus include conservation and environmental issues as well as the intersection of culture and politics. Vikramaditya is also the founder of a film production company called Elefant. His latest film, Elephants In My Backyard, for Al Jazeera's flagship documentary strand Witness, investigated human-elephant conflict in southern India and won Best Documentary Short at the ALT-Environmental Film Festival. In July 2021, Vikramaditya was selected by BAFTA for its inaugural Breakthrough India Program, which showcases the most exciting talent in the region.
